The role of expertise in judgement and decision making

Guillermo Campitelli conducts several studies that integrate the fields of expertise and judgement and decision making in collaboration with researchers worldwide. These studies include the following topics: cognitive processes behind expert decision making in chess players; the role of knowledge in performance judgements; the role of knowledge in forecast of sport events; and the role of cognitive reflection in expert judgement. Guillermo Campitelli was funded by the Argentine National Research Council, and he has recently obtained funding from the School to analyse datasets using mathematical modelling techniques.
