Variables that impact upon outcome of Bariatric Surgery, available instruments for Psychological Assessment

The proposed research study will explore the literature pertaining to mood disorders that influence the outcomes of bariatric surgery. The main aim is to contribute to existing literature in the field of bariatric surgery and mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder. It also aims to equip clinicians with a better understanding of the underlying factors that play a role in weight gain or weight loss and whether or not patients are likely to adhere to post-surgery guidelines.
