The WIL programs are linked to academic units which have the same assessment requirements as traditional academic units. In addition, you will need to complete the required number of hours required by the program you are enrolled in (internship or placement program).
You cannot self-enrol into a WIL program. Instead, you will need to apply by a set deadline. This allows enough time for your application to be processed and for you to be screened, interviewed and – if successful – assigned to suitable WIL opportunity before the start of semester.
The following table shows which units are associated with which program.
|Course type||Placement Program (100 - 150 hours)||Internship Program (600 hours)||Services Learning program (80 hours)|
|Undergraduate||FBL3501||FBL3400 and FBL3500||FBL2505|
|Postgraduate||BUS6900||FBL6505 and FBL6510|
For further details on these units, please see the latest ECU handbook.
