Over 350 students networked up a storm at this year’s School of Business and Law Career Fair!
With over 45 industry representatives, a LinkedIn photographer, a packed networking session and a number of returning business Alumni, the event was a great opportunity for students to network and plan their next career move.
School of Business and Law Executive Dean, Professor Maryam Omari opened the fair, followed by School of Business and Law alumni Gerald Chikwanda, who gave some insightful advice to our current students.
"Don't stop networking, don’t give up, and don’t be afraid to fail.”
Director Work-Integrated Learning, Associate Professor Denise Jackson concluded speeches by encouraging students to network and use this opportunity to get work-ready.
Over the course of the event, students were encouraged to submit their Networking Passports into the draw to win an iPad. Master of Business Administration student Binita KC Pant was the lucky winner of the iPad prize, she encouraged her peers to take advantage of events such as the Career Fair.
“It was such an amazing and informative event where I got a chance to build my networking skills, not only with various employers but also with ECU top level members, the Executive Dean and School Officers. I am looking forward to attending more upcoming programs in future.”
The School of Business and Law would like to thank our industry partners for their ongoing support:
The Career Fair is just one of many events the School of Business and Law hosts each year to encourage students to use university to launch their careers.
We look forward to seeing our industry partners and students at our 2020 School of Business and Law Career Fair.
