ECU’s sponsorship-based partnerships with industry leaders, such as the West Coast Eagles, offer our students unique experiences to go behind the scenes and see what career opportunities may be available to them upon graduation.
Our Sport, Recreation and Event Management students recently had the opportunity to undertake Work Integrated Learning (placements) or volunteer roles with the Eagles, sometimes leading to further employment. Our most recent group of students volunteered at the West Coast Eagles Derby at Optus Stadium.
In addition, students from a range of ECU Business and Law courses have the opportunity to attend an afternoon of workshops and activities with coaches and management teams from the West Coast Eagles.
These partnerships provide our students with opportunities to learn how the knowledge and skills they are gaining from their course can be applied in a real world environment.
