Dr Hongliang Qiu

Background

Dr Hongliang Qiu works in the Department of Business Administration, Tourism College of Zhejiang. He is an associate research fellow at Theoretical Research Branch, Zhejiang Province Eco-Culture Association. He received his PhD from the School of Business Administration, Zhejiang Gongshang University, China. He has published over 20 refereed papers in English and Chinese Journals. Most of them are in SSCI/SCI or CSSCI indexed journals, such as Public Personnel Management, International Journal of Simulation Modelling, Tourism Tribune, Zhejiang Social Sciences, Management Review, and Journal of Business Economics. He is also a reviewer for some key Chinese tourism journals, including Tourism Tribune, and Tourism Forum.

Hongliang’s work has been very well cited. His article, “Tourist destination image, place attachment and tourists’ environmentally responsible behaviour: A case of Zhejiang tourist resorts” is one of top 5 cited journal articles in the tourism category from 2014 to 2017. He has been the principal investigator for a number of research projects, including two at provincial level, and nine at bureau level. He has also won ten academic prizes. His article, titled “Impacts of tourist destination image on place attachment and tourists’ intention of revisit”, won the first prize of the 2014 China Tourism Academy Summit Dissertation Award.
