Background

Dr Zhihong Liu is a lecture at the South China University of Technology, School of Economics and Commerce’s Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, and a member of the Centre for International Tourism Research.

Dr Liu holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Tourism Management from Henan Normal University in China, a Master and a PhD in Tourism Management from Jinan University in China. She has been a visiting scholar at the University of Balearic Islands in Spain and the School of Management at the University of South Australia.

Dr. Liu has published about 10 research papers. Several of her publications appear in highly regarded SSCI journals. She received the Annual Research Award of Jinan University in 2016. She undertakes several national and provincial level grant projects, including China Postdoctoral Science Foundation Grant, Guangdong Natural Science Foundation Grant, and Tourism Talents Project in 2015 for National Tourism Administration.
