Background

Dr Jianyu (Jenny) Ma got her PhD from the School of Tourism, The Queensland University Australia in 2013.  She now is an associate professor in the School of Tourism of Shanghai Normal University. Her research topics include but not limited to tourism experiences, customer delight, visual attentions and eye-tracking technology. She has publications in Annals of Tourism Research, Journal of Tourism and Travel Marketing, and Tourism Tribune etc. Currently she works with Prof Noel Scott, Griffith Institute for Tourism on visitor experience design by creating and delivering exciting and memorable visitation experiences from a psychological perspective. She is also keen on using psychology and neuroscience findings and knowledge to provide a basis for a better understanding of the antecedents of a memorable experience.
