Professor Bing Zuo

Background

Bing Zuo is Professor of Tourism Management. She is the head of the department of tourism planning and management since 2014 at School of Tourism Management, Sun Yat-Sen University. She was educated at Sun Yat-Sen University (Ph.D., 2008) and was a Joint PhD student of University of Waterloo from 2007 to 2008 under the supervision of Prof. Geoffrey Wall. She was also a Visiting Scholar at University of South Australia from November 2016 to May 2017 collaborating with Prof. Sam Huang. She has published books, journal articles and some edited volumes in the field of tourism economics, community empowerment, and red tourism. She gained several Best Paper Award in 2011, 2012 and 2014 of the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA). She is now the new editorial board member of the Chinese journal of Tropical Geography, a journal that covers the research progress and frontiers in tourism geography.
