Kiyotaka Sato is a Professor of International Finance in the Department of Economics at Yokohama National University, Japan, and an Adjunct Professor in the School of Business and Law at Edith Cowan University, Australia. He obtained his Ph.D. in economics from University of Tokyo in 2001. His research interests include empirics of exchange rate regime, monetary and economic integration, exchange rate pass-through, and choice of invoicing currency. He has published intensively in international journals, and contributed to various academic associations both nationally and internationally. He served as the Associate Editor and then the Managing Editor of Asian Economic Journal respectively in 2006-2010 and 2011–2014, and is now the Journal’s Associate Editor since 2015.
