Honourable Albert Jacob

Albert is the Executive Advisor for Business Development and Engagement within the School of Business and Law, engaging with Industry, Local, State and Federal Government on behalf of ECU.

Tuesday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm

Background

A former Cabinet Minister, Albert Jacob has a broad perspective and knowledge of the Western Australian economy across both the public and private sectors.

As Minister for Environment and Heritage, Albert was responsible for high level decision making, policy formulation and setting of strategic directions for multiple government departments.  This role also positioned Albert as a key decision maker for Western Australia’s largest industries, including the resources, agricultural, infrastructure and development sectors.

Albert is a previous WA Business News 40under40 award winner and holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design as well as a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Western Australia.

Albert’s roles in public office have given him a unique understanding of local, state and federal government, as well as a broad network of contacts across a variety of sectors.
