Anton is a Lecturer in International Business in the School of Business and Law. He completed his PhD at University of New South Wales and has industry experience in international trade.

Background

Prior to joining ECU, Anton Klarin completed his PhD in International Business at University of New South Wales (UNSW). While pursuing his PhD, Anton primarily held positions as a Lecturer and tutor in International Business, General Management and Organizational Behaviour disciplines. He has excelled in teaching quality which was reflected in outstanding student and peer evaluations. His other positions at UNSW included a research assistant’s role for the Head of School and serving as a Student Representative at the UNSW Business School Research Committee.

Preceding the academic career, Anton lived and worked in Russia as a Deputy Director for a small pharmacy chain. Besides the regular duties of the expansion of the business and external relations, Anton actively participated in a family property business which included buying, renovating, selling, and renting out properties. Anton also worked as a marketing manager for a German logistics and software firm in Germany and Italy for three years. Overall, Anton has a wealth of experience in the industry working for small and medium enterprises throughout Europe.
