Visual art and design studios

We have purpose-built design studios on campus to allow students to explore a fantastic variety of techniques in printmaking, painting, sculpture and drawing.

Students are also equipped with computer labs using industry standard software as well as a range of 3D printers giving students access to some of the latest industry technology. The spaces between the design studios and the computer labs allow integration between electronic material and hands-on skills.

Our students are encouraged to be multi-skilled with different areas. For example, a graphic design student may use a large format printer in the photomedia labs to create a hard copy of the electronic work they did for the ECU Business Journalism publication.
