Alumni Education Chapter

Education Chapter Vision

The ECU Alumni Education Chapter was formed in 2020 with the vision to be an ambassador in the education field, provide a voice for teaching and education and empower ECU School of Education  graduates to pursue career advancement and build social and professional networks. The Education Chapter will achieve this by:

  • Celebrating and growing strong connections with ECU Alumni and ECU;
  • Engaging in open communication with ECU School of Education, ECU Executive and ECU Alumni on education related matters;
  • Building strong social, professional, business and government (and other key education stakeholders) relationships;
  • Champion and advocate for teachers, educators and education by positively promoting teaching in the wider community.
  • Assist and support career networking and professional development.

Education Chapter Committee

The current Committee for the Alumni Education Chapter is:

  • Co-Chair: Kevin Fraser and Wendy Norris
  • Deputy Chair: Scott Sullivan
  • Secretary: Amanda Tan
  • Events Officer: Robyn Ekberg
  • Committee Members: Wes Buzza, Dee Claydon, Lesley Gilmour, Al Martin, Drew Mayhills, Benjamin Oxford, Aashay Pratish and Katie Thiveos.

Education Chapter benefits

Chapter members will receive special benefits such as access to ECU Education alumni events and programs, and discounted Postgraduate study opportunities at ECU.
