Blood samples needed for melanoma trial

We’re appealing to clinicians and skin cancer centres across Perth to identify patients suitable for a clinical trial to validate our diagnostic blood test for melanoma.

We need more than 1000 participants, each willing to provide a single blood sample taken prior to biopsy of a suspected primary melanoma. The aim of the clinical trial is to assess, in the clinical setting, the efficacy of the diagnostic blood test developed by the Melanoma Research Group.

The Melanoma Research Group currently works closely with several clinicians at private and public clinics to identify suitable patients and we’re looking for additional clinicians interested in assisting with this research.

If you would like to help develop this diagnostic tool, please email Dr Pauline Zaenker.
