Danielle is the Operations Manager for the School of Medical and Health Sciences. She is responsible for overseeing the non-academic work of the School, managing the Schools resources, strategic and operational planning activities, governance matters, and accreditations. 

Background

Danielle has an extensive background in higher education policy and management, with particular expertise in health education and project management. In her previous role as Manager Strategic Health Projects in the Office of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Strategic Partnerships) at ECU, Danielle was responsible for the successful management of over $3m worth of Commonwealth and State-funded projects. Danielle also has previous experience at ECU in the Quality Unit, Planning, Quality and Equity Services Centre, where she was immersed in health accreditation matters, contributed to ECU’s self-assessment and compliance audits against relevant Federal standards, coordinated cyclical quality reviews, and provided support to academic units in their quality improvement activities.

Previously, as the inaugural Executive Officer of the Committee of Deans of Australian Medical Schools (now Medical Deans Australia and New Zealand), Danielle initiated and managed a number of major national medical education projects, including the Medical Schools’ Outcomes Database, Indigenous Health Curriculum Framework, and MedEd series of conferences. Other roles include State Manager Western Australia, Royal Australasian College of Physicians; Manager Corporate Services, Perth Primary Care Network; and Executive Officer, Sydney University Postgraduate Representative Association.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts in English Studies with First Class Honours, Edith Cowan University, 1994.
