Exploring experiences of chronic back pain in adults mediated by the Feldenkrais method

This small-scale phenomenological project will bring together the stories of transformation of adults who regularly practice Feldenkrais to help manage chronic back pain that otherwise adversely impacts their activities of daily living and quality of life. The case reports will expand the body of knowledge about the role of Feldenkrais in the management of chronic back pain, which is one of the main reasons for presentations to general practitioners in Australia and subsequent referrals for physiotherapy. It will promote the uptake of this complementary therapy to assist in the recovery of form and function and adjustment to injury or disability.
