Scholarships

Below is a listing of Semester 2 Donor funded Scholarships that are on offer to students in the School of Science. Applications will be open on the 1st of August 2019 and will close on the 1st of September 2019.

  • Aboriginal and /or Torres Strait Islander
  • Enrolled as either an undergraduate or post-graduate student at ECU
  • Enrolled in full-time or part-time study
  • Demonstrated Academic Performance
  • Applicants would be required to provide a statement of no more than 500 words that demonstrates how their unit/course is related to Emergency Management and/or contributes to Aboriginal community resilience.

City of Joondalup Youth Award - Tertiary EducationOne off payment of $5000
  • Be 18 to 25 years of age at the time of application;
  • Reside in the City of Joondalup catchment area;
  • Be an Australian citizen, or Australian permanent resident;
  • Be studying a course relevant to future employment within local government;
  • Be enrolled in an Undergraduate course;
  • Be studying full-time;
  • Have completed a minimum of 120 credit points;
  • Have maintained an academic status of good standing.

City of Joondalup Youth Award - Tertiary Education
Inspiring Minds Equity ScholarshipsOne off payment of $3000
  • Be an Australian citizen, or a permanent humanitarian or resident visa holder, or a New Zealand citizen;
  • Be enrolled in an Undergraduate course at ECU;
  • Be enrolled in a minimum of 60 credit points and intending to remain enrolled in 60 credit points the following semester;
  • Have completed a minimum of 60 credit points of their current course with consistent pass grades;
  • Have an academic status of good standing;
  • Be able to provide evidence of financial hardship or low socio-economic status (usually demonstrated by student being in receipt of a means-tested Centrelink payment);
  • Not be in receipt of any major scholarships or an ECU Equity Scholarship; and
  • Not have been a previous recipient of this scholarship.
