Dr Jessica Padohee
Congratulations to Dr Jessica Pandohee, who has been awarded the element Lawrencium on the IUPAC Periodic Table of Younger Chemists.
This year marks the 150th anniversary of the Periodic System of elements introduced by Dmitri Mendeleev and the UNESCO has declared 2019 the International Year of the Periodic Table (IYPT). Coincidentally the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) celebrated their 100th anniversary in the same year and collaborated with the International Younger Chemists Networks (IYCN) to create a Periodic Table of Younger Chemists.
Jess was one of 118 young chemists to be selected across the world to highlight the diversity of careers, creativity, and dedication of the young chemists leading this community into the next century.
