On April 23rd, Prof. Angus Morrison-Saunders and Dr. Jenny Pope hosted a research colloquium at ECU entitled “The Contribution of Impact Assessment to Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”. This colloquium was a platform for prominent international researchers from Canada, Brazil and South Africa, as well as researchers from ECU’s Centre for Ecosystem Management, to showcase their latest research projects and ideas in relation to impact assessment helping achieve SDGs. It was also attended by researchers from other WA universities and from the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation. This symposium was followed by a two-day joint collaborative research undertaking at Guilderton with the group of researchers co-writing a paper together for the Impact Assessment and Project Appraisal journal as well as establishing plans for other ongoing collaborations.
