A warm welcome to four new postgraduate students and CMER's most recent members, Sam Billinghurst, Jack Robinson and Leah Beltran, all undertaking a Masters Degree, and Honours student Alexandra D’Cruz. Sam will be investigating successional patterns in seagrass meadows, while Jack is exploring whether seagrass restoration leads to associated ecosystem improvement, while Leah’s research delves into the movement of carbon in and out of a mangrove ecosystem. Alexandra will be studying Australia’s endemic and very charming snubfin dolphin and the shy dugong, both listed as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List, and the implications of human activities such as commercial tours on their conservation. Well done on securing your Higher Degree by Research studies here at ECU, the team at CMER look forward to sharing your research journey.
