Description

This unit is the continuation of the project development unit ENS4152. At the end of this engineering project, students are required to demonstrate an implemented and tested system together with a final report. Students are also required to give an oral presentation which permits a review of their progress. Reports and presentations are reviewed by an assigned examiner and the supervisor.

Prerequisite Rule

Students must pass 1 units from ENS4152

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students should be able to:

  1. Design a device or system using a formal approach.
  2. Implement a device or system.
  3. Perform experimental work to verify the design.
  4. Prepare a detailed project report.
  5. Present a technical seminar.

Unit Content

  1. Conceptual design and requirement analysis.
  2. Cost/Benefit Assessment.
  3. Functional Analysis.
  4. Preparation of a final report.
  5. Project implementation verification and test.
  6. Seminar presentation.

Additional Learning Experience Information

Supervised implementation and verification of the project.
