Course Induction Session

You are expected to attend your School and Course Induction session, this event will provide you with important information about your study requirements, textbooks, unit advice and any practicum requirements. It's also an opportunity to meet staff and fellow students in your course.

Find your School in the below table then click register to view the available Course Induction sessions. Once you have found your Course Induction session click register to book your place. If you cannot find your course in the table, please contact the Course Information Hub to clarify whether your course is offering an induction session, as not all courses run sessions.

University Preparation Course Inductions

We at UniPrep look forward to seeing you at your compulsory Course Induction!

The Course Induction is designed to help you successfully transition into your new student life and will be the perfect opportunity for you to make new friends, to familiarise yourself with ECU and to obtain important information about what to expect during your studies. It is a great time to build networks and lasting friendships to support you during your time at ECU.

The Course Induction includes a tour of the School’s facilities, an opportunity to meet staff and fellow students in your course.

Attendance at the Induction is compulsory for on campus students and welcomed for online students, however, not compulsory.

School of Nursing and Midwifery Course Inductions

The School of Nursing looks forward to welcoming you at your Course Induction "Ready Set Go"

Ready Set Go is a mandatory workshop designed to help you successfully transition into your new student life. It will be the perfect opportunity for you to meet key School staff who will help you to assimilate into ECU and your course by providing information and advice on how to succeed in your studies; it is also a great opportunity to build networks and meet new friends to support you during your time at ECU.

Each session will include a 30 minute break with light refreshments.
The Ready Set Go workshop is delivered in two blocks of information, ‘basics and technology’, followed by ‘academic and clinical issues’. The workshop is run on a number of days and you can register into whichever session is most convenient, although we do encourage our International students to enrol in the workshop on Friday 27 July.

The School of Engineering looks forward to Welcoming you!

This Induction is designed to help your transition to be a university student. It is an exciting time to start building networks and friendships with fellow students. It is also your first opportunity to meet Course Coordinator and Learning Advisor.

The Course Induction includes a tour of the School's facilities and hands-on activities. Light lunch will be provided.

Please note that attendance of the Course Induction is compulsory.

The School of Science looks forward to seeing you at your compulsory Course Induction!

The Course Induction is designed to help you successfully transition into your new student life. It will be the perfect opportunity for you to make new friends, meet your course coordinator and first year experience coordinator. You can familiarise yourself with ECU on how to best succeed in your studies. It is a great time to build networks and lasting friendships to support you during your time at ECU.

The Course Induction includes a morning session where we will all get together to introduce key staff and learn the basics of University 101. This will also give you the chance to meet your fellow students. This will be followed by a meet and greet with your course coordinators and a complimentary lunch. Building networks, engaging with other students and staff and becoming an active member of the School community provides the perfect platform for success in your studies and ultimately, graduate employability..
