About this Major

Recommended for students with an interest in criminology and justice. This major will provide an understanding of the criminal justice system, offenders, policing and corrections in a contemporary environment.

It also includes skills required for employment, such as Indigenous cultural responsiveness.

Details

Structure

Students need to complete 30cp of core units and 90cp of core option following units. Students should enrol in the units following the manner:

- CRI1103 should be taken concurrently or successfully complete before attempting level 2 or level 3 units;

- CRI1104 should be taken concurrently or successfully complete before attempting level 2 or level 3 units;

- Students should have successfully completed 60cp of level 1 and 2 units in the major prior to enrolling in a level 3 unit.

Please note that CRI3302 Criminal Justice Review Project is by application only.

Learning Outcomes
