Students undertake one unit at a time in the fully online, accelerated delivery mode (7 weeks).
Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate specialised knowledge in the theories, pedagogical practices and strategies for educational leadership.
- Demonstrate specialised knowledge in the policies principles, ethics and legislative requirements for educational leadership. (1)
- Demonstrate specialised knowledge of the impact of culture, cultural identity and linguistic background of students from varying Indigenous and cultural backgrounds. (1,15)
- Review, analyse and synthesise knowledge of the pedagogical practices for educational leadership to create a philosophy that underpins effective teaching and learning. (2,3)
- Exercise critical thinking and judgment to identify complex issues within the teaching and learning cycle through which current practices are examined, outcomes reviewed and new ideas generated. (4,14)
- Demonstrate specialised technical, trans literacy and creative skills to develop learning strategies for students with varied learning abilities. (5,11,14)
- Research, analyse, evaluate and communicate the theoretical concepts and methods used for effective learning and teaching and educational leadership.(6)
- Embed sustainable practices and highlight responsibilities for a sustainable future and our shared connections as global citizens. (13,16)
- Adapt specialised knowledge and skills making independent judgments to design, implement and evaluate innovative curriculum to suit the learning and teaching context and optimize inclusivity for students.(8,9,14)
- Demonstrate creativity and personal autonomy adapting assessment and reporting processes, then critically reflect on personal practice using accreditation standards to enhance professional practice. (9,10,14)
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to evaluate and improve teaching approaches as part of ongoing professional development. (12)
