About this Specialisation

This specialisation provides students with the opportunity to further develop their knowledge, understanding and skills to teach Physical and Health Education (HPE).

It highlights the importance of HPE in the Australian Curriculum and its influence on the learning, development, health and wellbeing of children. The specialisation units examine contemporary issues, trends and learning activities in HPE within varied contexts. Special emphasis is placed on strategies for greater pupil involvement in the learning process and the development of cross curricular skills.
