This unit refines the creative physical capacity of the actor and specific physical processes for imaginative realization in application. Students undertake advanaced movement work demanding a highly skilled dexterous ability, adaptability and responsiveness for inventive, detailed and imaginative work in performance. The classes call for rigour, discipline and self-management. All practices undertaken will support the movement knowledge for the actor as they prepare to enter the professional industry.

Movement studio, intensive workshops, small group solo and duo exercises, video recording for analysis, in studio performance to students and staff. Self-reflection, observation and class feedback and discussion.

Students please note: The marks and grades received by students on assessments may be subject to further moderation. Informal vivas may be conducted as part of an assessment task, where staff require further information to confirm the learning outcomes have been met. All marks and grades are to be considered provisional until endorsed by the relevant School Progression Panel.
