This unit explores compliance and stakeholder engagement aspects of producing and presenting events and entertainment in public spaces like parks, streets and community halls. Students undertake a group assignment that challenges them to collaborate on developing a creative proposal, consult and comprehensively plan for a new event in a real location. With clear communication and documentation strategies, students consider sustainable planning including access and inclusion, licensing and capacity, infrastructure, marketing and critical incident management.
In this unit, students will be developing the following capabilities:

This is a Learning Unit. Learning Units engage students in regular learning activities to develop their knowledge, skills, and capabilities. The learning activities provide each student with feedback to support their development, and create evidence for each student’s progress towards achieving the learning outcomes of the course.
