Reputation damage can happen quickly, but the ramifications often have a lasting impact on organisations. Organisations need to operate ethically with an understanding of the impact of their operations and communication on their communities. In a world of increasing cyber security and supply chain issues, and growing customer expectations, organisations must be equipped to pre-empt and respond to risk. This unit employs real-world case studies to demonstrate the differences between an organisational issue and a crisis, as well as how to apply reputation management strategies to a range of scenarios. In this unit, students practise and enhance their skills by completing issues analysis, stakeholder mapping, environmental scanning, community consultation and crisis communication exercises.
