Description

This Criminology capstone unit bridges the gap between academic learning and professional work. It brings together all the previously scaffolded learning to a central Criminal Justice or associated agency project, integrating knowledge and skills gained in the course as a whole. Students are required to demonstrate a professional level of preparation, planning, execution, and documentation. They are required to complete an industry-guided project demonstrating initiative and creativity, and taking pride in the achievement of a completed task. Self-management and time-management skills will be needed for the completion and reporting of a substantial industry project within an agreed time frame and within a team environment. The successful completion of this unit can be used to demonstrate to potential employers the workplace skills developed and facilitate a transition from University to professional life or further study.
