In this unit, students further hone their modern music-literacy skills through theory lectures and online enhanced learning. Students develop upon the fundamental aural and theoretical musical materials of jazz and contemporary music performance by studying modulation, counterpoint, consonance and dissonance and more, while arranging classes apply these materials to ensemble orchestration.
Must have passed MUS1381 (Jazz and Contemporary Musicianship 1).
On completion of this unit students should be able to:
