This unit explores the development of nursing leadership and professional identity through reflective engagement with leadership theories, values, and professional standards. Students will examine concepts of transformational leadership, clinical accountability, and motivation, with particular attention to the influence of power dynamics and systemic inequities on care delivery. Students will develop a justice-oriented leadership philosophy aligned with professional standards, preparing them to lead with integrity and inclusiveness in diverse clinical settings. Students will complete an assessment task to demonstrate their integration and application of learning from stage one units and assure their learning against the course learning outcomes.
