In Sustainability Management students will gain the expertise needed to effectively manage, implement, and assess sustainability and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) in diverse organisational and project contexts. The unit provides the tools and knowledge to translate sustainability principles into actionable strategies for organisations and projects. Through an authentic project, students will learn to manage, implement, and assess sustainability performance effectively. The unit will also provide critical insights into emerging areas including climate risk, carbon management, and circular economy; preparing students to make a tangible impact on environmental and social sustainability projects in their careers. This learning unit is for students who are taking the Environmental Management option.

In this unit, students will be developing the following capabilities:
On-campus attendance at scheduled classes in designated weeks is expected, intermitted with periods of online learning.
This is a Learning Unit. Learning Units engage students in regular learning activities to develop their knowledge, skills, and capabilities. The learning activities provide each student with feedback to support their development, and create evidence for each student’s progress towards achieving the learning outcomes of the course.
Students will use real world case studies in workshops to develop skills and knowledge.

Students please note: The marks and grades received by students on assessments may be subject to further moderation. Informal vivas may be conducted as part of an assessment task, where staff require further information to confirm the learning outcomes have been met. All marks and grades are to be considered provisional until endorsed by the relevant School Progression Panel.
