Construction and Design
VET Stream
Effective from 01-JAN-2026 : Code VSAABR
This nationally recognised qualification prepares students with a range of knowledge and skills to enter the performing arts industry. The course includes aspects of set and properties construction including metal fabrication, scenic painting, and technical and general drawing, as well as fundamental design skills. Students gain hands-on experience in handling scenery, flying, and general stagecraft skills of the mechanist, and are closely involved in the practical work of live production on a regular basis.

Special Admission Requirements
All applicants are required to attend an interview. Students must provide evidence of their skills in live production and technical services and the ability to develop solutions in at least one technical area, and/or provide a body of work demonstrating skills in at least one technical area. .
