Chemistry Major

Effective from 01-JAN-2022 : Code MAAALA

Chemistry is the science that is concerned with the composition, structure and properties of substances, the changes that occur during reactions with other substances, and the energy that is exchanged during these reactions. This major provides a thorough grounding in fundamental and advanced chemistry with a strong emphasis on developing analytical and instrumentation skills. Students study diverse methods used to investigate the chemical nature of substances in a range of applications, from pure laboratory analysis to environmental and medical investigations and monitoring.
