Edith Cowan University's (ECU) Sri Lanka Campus brought together past and present on Friday, 7 November 2025, hosting a special Alumni Sundowner at the Courtyard by Marriott, in Colombo.

The evening was filled with connection, nostalgia, and celebration, as graduates spanning more than two decades of ECU's history reunited with old friends and forged new connections across diverse industries and generations.

Hosted by ECU alumnus Dominic Keller, the evening began with a video message from ECU Vice-Chancellor Professor Clare Pollock, before a warm welcome from Pro Vice-Chancellor (Sri Lanka) Mr David Matthews, who reflected on ECU's journey in Sri Lanka - from its early partnerships to the establishment of the dedicated Sri Lanka Campus just two years ago.

"Education has long been one of the most enduring bridges between Australia and Sri Lanka.

"Through our universities, vocational partnerships, and skills initiatives, Australia will continue to support Sri Lanka's journey toward a more self-reliant and globally connected future," His Excellency Matthew Duckworth said.
