This year's Get Connected Careers Fair marked a milestone for ECU as the School of Science and the School of Business and Law joined forces to co-host a dynamic event that showcased the diverse career opportunities available to students.

With over 70 industry professionals representing some of WA and Australia's largest employers, the fair provided a platform for students to explore a wide range of career paths in sectors such as government, mining, defence, banking, consultancy, and finance.

The atmosphere was electric as 700 students engaged with industry leaders, gaining valuable insights and exploring opportunities for professional growth.

Attendees enjoyed learning about the various industries aligned with their courses, discovering a multitude of roles available to them after graduation.

They also explored opportunities for professional development, recruitment, and networking, while gaining valuable industry insights, including employers' top tips on writing a resume or job application.

The collaboration between the School of Science and the School of Business and Law played a pivotal role in the event's resounding success. By coming together, the Schools were able to make this year's Careers Fair one of best we've ever had. Their joint effort expanded the scope of opportunities for students, attracting a wider range of exhibitors, and allowing students to look further afield with their future career.

The Careers Fair is just one of many initiatives by the Schools to support student growth and employability, ensuring they graduate ready to kickstart their career.

We're thankful to all industry partners and students whose participation made this event a memorable one, along with the incredible support of the ECU alumni who came back to attend as industry exhibitors. Watching our former graduates become today's employers highlights the enduring impact of connections forged at ECU.
