A joyful end to the ceremony
A poignant moment for every graduate, graduation is a time of joy and celebration, of pride in achievement, and of excellence.
This weekend Edith Cowan University (ECU) celebrated the culmination of many students' university journeys. Across five ceremonies held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition centre, 1,848 students walked the stage in celebration of their success.
The ceremonies held on Saturday and Sunday were a moment to celebrate achievement years in the making. The ceremonies honoured graduates from the School of Education, the School of Medical and Health Sciences, the School of Science, the School of Engineering, the School of Arts and Humanities, and the School of Nursing and Midwifery, as well as the Centre for Learning and Teaching, and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).

Graduation is also an opportunity to recognise families and loved ones who have provided support and encouragement, in many cases from afar.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Clare Pollock reflected on the transformative power of education.

A highlight of the ceremonies was the vibrant musical interludes, provided by an exceptional variety of talented performers, many of them proud WAAPA alumni or current students.
Judging by the enthusiastic applause from the audience, there was real excitement in the air as each graduand walked across the stage and collected their testamur.

Graduation celebrates the people, achievements and spirit of our community. Through the experiences gained at ECU, the graduates, having stepped with pride across the stage, now embark on the next chapter of their journey, stepping out to make a difference in the world.
