ECU hat trick: Australia's top public university for student experience again

Students have ranked ECU as the number one public university in the country for undergraduate Overall Educational Experience, for the third year in a row.

Student responses to the nationally run Student Experience Survey (SES), the only comprehensive survey of higher education students in Australia, have ranked Edith Cowan University (ECU) as the number one public university in the country for undergraduate Overall Educational Experience, for the third year in a row.

ECU is the top ranked public university in Australia on the following measures:

  • Overall Experience
  • Skills Development
  • Student Support

Amongst all public universities, ECU is also ranked 2nd for:

  • Teaching Quality
  • Learning Resources

In Western Australia ECU is the top university (1st) in Overall Experience, Teaching Quality, Skills Development, Student Support and Learning resources, cementing ECU's continuing dominance in the State on the QILT Student Experience Survey results.

ECU Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Arshad Omari said ECU is incredibly proud of its continuing excellence in all areas of the student learning experience.

The ComparEd website, based on QILT data, helps prospective students compare universities around Australia.

QILT results are based on around a quarter of a million surveys completed each year by higher education students across Australia.
