Edith Cowan University (ECU) is proud to step into the future as the main partner of Robopalooza 2025, a cutting-edge space and robotics festival set to take place on 5 - 6 October, which offers students and the broader community an unprecedented opportunity to engage with the technologies shaping tomorrow.

The event, which will be hosted at the Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct (AARP) in Neerabup, Western Australia, will bring together robotics and telepresence innovators from around the world for two days of immersive exchange.

Robopalooza 2025 will include an advanced space robotics competition in collaboration with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) which will see contestants remotely drive a lunar robot prototype, NASA designed STEM outreach activities, a start-up company pitch battle, industry robotics demonstrations, live entertainment and food trucks.

"Bringing Robopalooza to life across the globe is a celebration we are honoured to be building with ECU. The future of operating on the Moon and Mars, will be enabled by telepresence for people operating right across the globe. So, to showcase this in the heart of mining innovation in Perth and with visionary leaders like Paulo de Souza and the ECU team is incredible," Robopalooza founder Rob Mueller said.

ECU Executive Dean, School of Engineering, Professor Paulo de Souza said this festival offers students a vivid and immersive experience in operating robotic explorers and conducting scientific experiments.

"We are thrilled to partner with Robopalooza 2025, an event that brings together some of the brightest minds in robotics and telepresence from around the world. This collaboration, especially with the involvement of NASA, represents an extraordinary opportunity for our students to engage directly with cutting-edge innovation and global leaders in the field," Professor de Souza said.

"It's not just about showcasing technology; it’s about inspiring the next generation of engineers, creators, and problem-solvers. At ECU, we believe in learning through experience, and initiatives like this are where education meets real-world impact."
