ECU Shines in 2024 QS World University Rankings by Subject

In the recently released 2024 QS World University Rankings by Subject, Edith Cowan University (ECU) has once again demonstrated its academic excellence by receiving rankings in six subject categories. This year's results highlight consistent strong performance across various disciplines.

ECU's stronghold in Education and Training remains steadfast, maintaining its position in the 251-300 band and consistently ranking 22nd in the country. This continued success reflects ECU's dedication to delivering high-quality education and training for future educators.

Similarly, ECU Nursing has upheld its strong position, retaining its placement in the 101-150 band and ranking 18th in Australia. This achievement showcases ECU's commitment to excellence in nursing education and training.

In Business and Management Studies, while ECU's global rank change slightly, from 501-550 to 551-600 however, its position in Australia remained consistent at 22nd in the country. This result demonstrates ECU's ongoing commitment to excellence in business education and research.

In the field of Sports-related Subjects, there was a very minor change in the international ranking this year however, ECU still ranked incredibly well achieving 36th out of 785 institutions assessed internationally. In Australia,  ECU ranks in the top 7, an enviable place for a young university. This continued presence among the top institutions highlights ECU’s expertise and dedication to sports education and research.

A notable achievement for ECU is its impressive debut in the Anatomy and Physiology category, where it has entered the rankings in the 101-150 band and placing 9th in Australia.  This ranking is based on the impressive sports science courses and the excellent work of the Exercise Medicine Research Institute at ECU.

ECU also ranked for the first time in the Medicine subject category in the 501-550 band and ranking 24th nationally. The entry into this subject category is specifically related to the high number of science journal articles from across the School of Medical and Health Sciences, underscoring ECU's commitment to excellence in healthcare education and research.

Overall, the 2024 QS World University Rankings by Subject demonstrate ECU's ongoing commitment to excellence in education, research, and innovation across a range of disciplines. The University's success in these rankings is a testament to its dedication to providing students with a world-class education and contributing to the advancement of world knowledge in various fields.
