In 2019 John was diagnosed with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer. After taking part in a clinical trial at ECU's Exercise Medicine Research Institute exploring the impact of exercise on prostate cancer, John noticed a significant improvement in his wellness.

"I was aware that my wellness had improved out of sight," John explains of his research experience - so he went on to join Vario Health Clinic at ECU.
