How one international student discovered the beauty of Western Australia

Study abroad student Mario Conradt came to Western Australia from Germany as part of his engineering degree. Mario also found time to explore this vast and vibrant part of Australia.

"Perth is perfect for a study abroad semester since you have the amenities of a big city while you can travel to more remote areas like the Ningaloo Reef, Rottnest Island or the Margaret River wine region," says Mario.

"I already studied mechanical engineering for seven semesters at my home university before studying abroad at ECU. I worked in the School of Engineering' Formula Student Team, building a race car with other engineering students."
