How to move on

What is postgraduate study?

Graduate Certificate

Quickly gain specialised knowledge and skills for career advancement or a career change. Courses with 3 or 4 units completed in 6 months full-time study. Need a bachelor's degree or relevant professional experience.

Graduate Diploma

Completed a bachelor's degree in any field and want to complete the equivalent of a major in another field? Study 8 units in a particular discipline and complete in 1 year of full-time study.

Masters by Coursework

An advanced, postgraduate qualification to deepen specialised knowledge and refine skills in a field, post a bachelor's degree or a graduate diploma. Involves structured learning and projects and generally requires up to 2 years full-time study.

Study your way and with support

Most of our postgraduate students have busy jobs, families and other commitments. It's why we make it as flexible as possible with many courses you can study online or part-time.

For students with kids, some campuses provide professionally accredited Childcare centres, and ECU Sports Centres offer short-term crèches.

And if you need it, our learning advisers can help you polish your academic skills, and career counsellors offer advice about planning your future.

Balancing work and study with life
