This unit set equips current and future mathematics teachers with the essential knowledge and skills to teach core mathematical concepts from the Australian and Western Australian (WA) Curricula for Years 7–10. It introduces and reinforces evidence-based approaches to teaching key content strands, explores effective pedagogical strategies, and provides high-quality resources and tools that foster active classroom engagement. Students will develop lesson plans, learning activities, and assessments consistent with curriculum standards. The unit set is delivered through flexible online and off-campus modes and is supported by carefully designed materials, recognised for enhancing teaching practice and deepening student understanding of mathematics and effective teaching methods.
