This year's Vice-Chancellor Staff Excellence Awards were hosted at Mount Lawley Campus, a fitting celebration and heartfelt farewell to a place that has played such a significant role in Edith Cowan University's (ECU's) history.
In a high-octane event filled with musical entertainment and pyrotechnics, ECU's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Clare Pollock, congratulated all award winners and nominees, acknowledging their outstanding contributions and the spirit of excellence they bring to ECU.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Claire Pollock, was full of praise for ECU staff during the celebration
"This year, we had more than 200 nominees, as individuals or part of a team, and I know that the decision process to narrow down our winners was difficult. It's no surprise that the calibre of deserving nominees was extremely high."
"To be recognised in these awards is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion that you – our staff – bring to your roles every day," Professor Pollock said.
The Vice-Chancellor reflected on the special significance of holding the event at Mount Lawley Campus in its final year, noting how meaningful the moment was for those in attendance and for the wider ECU community.
"This year's event stands as a reminder of ECU's distinguished history and the many dedicated staff and students who contributed to its legacy at Mount Lawley, while also providing us the opportunity to bid a fond and respectful farewell to this important part of our story," Professor Pollock said.
