Over 200 students attended the School of Nursing Career Expo
The ECU Careers Service, in collaboration with the School of Nursing, held a Nursing Career Expo, on Wednesday, 2 June at the Joondalup Campus.
More than 200 students attended the event which gave them an opportunity to meet with 13 organisations including Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital and Prince Edward Hospital.
Head of the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Postgraduate Medicine, Professor Di Twigg, gave a welcome speech before participating organisations were given a tour of the University’s modern, high-tech nursing facilities.
“I enjoyed the opportunity to participate, and found ECU students very willing and keen to listen and engage in conversation,” said Co-ordinator of Enrolled Nurse Education at Princess Margaret Hospital, Ms Gillian Garwood.
ECU Coordinator for Careers and Graduate Employment, Sylvia Kelly, said the event was a great success.
“I received excellent feedback from both students and employers and we look forward to hosting this event again next year”.
