ECU welcomes Saudi Arabian Cultural Attaché to Joondalup Campus

    ECU senior staff were pleased to welcome His Excellency, Dr Ali Al Bishri, The Saudi Arabian Cultural Attaché to Australia (centre) to the Joondalup Campus

ECU was honoured to welcome His Excellency, Dr Ali Al Bishri, the Saudi Arabian Cultural Attaché to Australia, to the Joondalup Campus on Monday, 16 May.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International) and Vice- President, Professor Tony Watson; Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Teaching and Learning), Professor Ron Oliver and Associate Dean International, Associate Professor Maryam Omari, along with senior ECU staff, welcomed His Excellency.

The visit prompted discussions on a range of topics including Student Welfare, ECU programs in Medical Sciences, research at ECU and potential future study opportunities for Saudi Arabian students.

The visit also enabled senior academic staff to provide updates on some of ECU’s new courses in the areas of Engineering, Nursing, Para-Medical Science and Sport Science.  

ECU is an approved provider of under graduate degree programs to King Abdullah Scholarship recipients. ECU has also recently been approved to provide postgraduate coursework programs in Medical Sciences by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Higher Education. King Abdullah Scholarship recipients can now nominate ECU as their provider for their postgraduate approved programs.

ECU recognises Saudi Arabia as a key partner in the Gulf Region and is committed to developing new programs suited to the needs of Saudi Arabian students.
