Occupational Therapy award

Congratulations to ECU academic Associate Professor Jeannine Millsteed, the recipient of the 2011 Occupational Therapy (OT) Australia National Award.

Associate Professor Millsteed was nominated by her colleagues for her outstanding honorary service to Occupational Therapy Australia. She has been instrumental in ensuring that that there is representation from WA to OT Australia team.

Associate Professor Millsteed is a long serving member who has contributed extensively to the Association via her roles as Chair of the WA Division and Australian Delegate to the World Federation of OT.  Associate Professor Millsteed also set up the Occupational Therapy course at ECU, which had its first intake of students in 2006.

Executive Dean of the Faculty of Computing, Health and Science Professor Tony Watson congratulated Associate Professor Millsteed on her outstanding achievement.

“Her contribution to ECU has been outstanding and her leadership in Western Australia in OT as a whole has significantly benefitted the profession,” Professor Watson said.
