ECU's sustainability practises have been awarded by the Water Corporation
ECU’s Joondalup and Mount Lawley campuses are saving water, one drop at a time.
Both campuses have received silver certificates in the Water Efficiency Management Plan recognition program. The certificate recognises an improvement of between 25 – 35 per cent in water efficiency since the program’s inception in 2007.
ECU is one of only 26 organisations to receive silver certificates from the program, which measures the water efficiency of all businesses across WA who consume 20,000 kL of scheme water per meter reading per year.
ECU Coordinator of Environmental Systems Ms Belinda O’Brien is thrilled with the result.
“Receiving recognition from the Water Corporation highlights the great work we are doing here at ECU to make sure that we are saving water and preserving our local environment for future generations.”
The certificate will be presented to ECU by an official Water Corporation representative next week.
